GEA Officially Launches Cambodia Office

Global Education Alliance (GEA), a Hong Kong–headquartered international education group with over 20 years of experience, officially launched its Cambodia Office on 25 January 2026 at VTrust Tower, Phnom Penh.The launch marks a significant milestone in GEA’s Southeast Asia expansion and reflects its commitment to supporting Cambodia’s Education Roadmap 2030 through digital innovation and global education access.

Strengthening Education Through Partnership & Innovation
The event commenced with an opening address by H.E. Dr. Sann Vathana, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MOEYS). In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships and innovation in strengthening Cambodia’s education ecosystem and preparing students for future global challenges.
Introducing MSA: A Digital Education Solution for Cambodia
Representing Mr. Freeman Yeung, CEO & Founder of GEA, Mr. Benny Toolseram, Regional Director of GEA Southeast Asia, introduced MSA (MySchoolApplication), a newly launched education technology platform designed to support schools, students, and parents.
Offered to Cambodian schools, MSA enables:
Schools to track students’ higher education destinations worldwide
Students and parents to access real-time visibility of university applications and admissions
Data-driven planning that enhances transparency, efficiency, and informed decision-making
This digital initiative directly supports Cambodia’s education modernization goals and long-term human capital development.

Preparing Students for Global Opportunities
The program concluded with a keynote address by Dr. Nith Bunlay, Deputy Director of Higher Education at MOEYS, titled “Preparing Cambodian Students for Global Opportunities and Emerging Industries.” The session highlighted the importance of future-ready skills, international exposure, and global academic pathways in equipping Cambodian students for the evolving workforce.
International Education Fair & Global Exposure
Following the official launch, GEA hosted an International Education Fair, featuring institutions from seven countries, providing Cambodian students with access to diverse academic pathways and global study options.
GEA also reaffirmed its long-term commitment to positioning Cambodia as a future study destination within international student exchange networks. The Cambodia office is led by a diverse international team: Mr. Andreas, Ms. Jessica Tjandra, and Ms. Annette Lim — bringing global expertise and experience to the local education landscape.

Supporting Cambodia’s Vision for 2050
This initiative aligns with Cambodia’s national vision to become a high-income country by 2050, recognizing education and digital transformation as key drivers of sustainable development and global competitiveness.
Celebrating Visit Malaysia 2026
In conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026, GEA awarded a lucky draw prize to three Cambodian students, each receiving a 3-day, 2-night educational trip to Malaysia. One of the prizes was presented by Mr. Mogen Selvaraja, First Secretary of the Embassy of Malaysia in Cambodia, symbolizing continued regional collaboration and cultural exchange.
