On August 21, 2024, GEA hosted the North America Fall Institutional Training Session in Shanghai, bringing together more than 60 core local partner organizations and representatives from nine prestigious universities and education groups. Among the participants were the University of Southern California, Syracuse University, Northeastern University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Canada West, Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, New Mind Education Group, INTO Education Group, and Shorelight Education Group.

The event opened with an insightful presentation by GEA’s U.S. Program Director Max Ma, who outlined the core strengths and latest updates of GEA’s undergraduate and postgraduate offerings in the United States. His session covered a wide range of topics—from application trends and entry requirements to career development support—providing partners with concrete strategies to better serve their students.

Following this, representatives from the nine institutions led deep-dive roundtable discussions, delivering first-hand updates on admissions policies, program developments, and scholarship opportunities. The atmosphere was vibrant, with academic insights seamlessly connecting to practical career pathways and sparking lively exchanges between institutional partners and local counselors.

The interactive Q&A session pushed the energy to a high point, as participants engaged in meaningful dialogue with the university representatives. Every question was met with detailed, thoughtful responses, while GEA’s surprise giveaways added an element of excitement that encouraged even more collaboration and innovative service ideas.

Beyond the practical training and knowledge exchange, the roadshow underscored an important trend: U.S. study abroad is becoming increasingly internationalized, specialized, and collaborative. By convening top universities and trusted partners in one platform, GEA reaffirmed its role as a connector of high-quality educational resources, helping institutions and agencies alike to navigate a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Looking ahead, GEA will continue to build high-value information platforms and strengthen partnerships across the education ecosystem—empowering the next generation of students to pursue their global ambitions and achieve excellence on the world stage.
